Reducing stormwater and urban runoff pollution is a high priority for the 84 incorporated cities and unincorporated communities of the County of Los Angeles. Each is a partner in a five-year Permit to implement stormwater pollution reduction programs. As part of the program, designated City Stormwater Coordinators are responsible for conducting outreach to the local community about stormwater pollution prevention including the general public, business and industry. In addition, the Stormwater Coordinators work with residents to prevent illegal dumping into storm drains, coordinate stormwater stenciling and facilitate work on clogged drains.
