New Building Codes Effective January 1, 2014

Beginning January 1, 2014, all plans submitted for plan check will be checked in accordance with the 2014 County of Los Angeles Building, Electrical, Green, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Residential Codes

Fee Increase as of July 1, 2014

Effective July 1, 2014 Building and Safety Fees will be increased by 1.0% Pursuant to Titles 26, 27, 28, and 29 of the Los Angeles County Codes, this increase is based on the Consumer Price Index Rise for the Greater Los Angeles Area between March 2012 and March 2013 as published by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics

Online Plancheck Submissions

Plan Checks for the unincorporated areas of East Los Angeles, Universal Studios, Calabasas, Santa Clarita antelope Valley and all Capital Projects and all headquarters unincorporated area plan checks may now be submitted and fees paid electronically through the Building and Safety Online Plan Check portal.
