The Land Records Information website is an internet-based Geographic Information System that enables the
public to quickly locate and retrieve quality parcel data -- all the documents, maps and other information
that depict rights and interests in the land -- using an intuitive interface. Among the many types of land
records made easily available by the system are record of surveys, parcel maps, tract maps, township
plats, and flood right-of-way maps. The system allows users to find their data using various methods,
including a text-based search engine and an interactive geospatial map.
For the successful presentation of a vast amount of land information and its
outstanding work in saving hundreds of staff hours per year, we are proud to present Land Records
Information with the 2009 E-Government Project of the Year award.
