COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES October 19, 2002 - Gardena WASTE TIRE COLLECTION EVENT
On Saturday, October 19, 2002, the County conducted a free waste tire collection event in Gardena.
This event was open to all Los Angeles County residents.
Flyers were posted in stores and advertisements were placed in newspapers.
Residents rolled in with their used worn out dirty tires and rolled
out with Krispy Kreme coupons for a free dozen glazed donuts with a dozen bought as
a thank you for keeping Los Angeles County free of waste tires.
Approximately 650 tires were collected and recycled. If you missed this event, another free waste tire collection event
will be coming to a location near you.
