Please test to the specifications listed below.
To Confirm Lifespan:
- EcoLogo ATP-001 [PDF, 38KB]
Capacity Test - minimum of 15 liters
Dynamic Test - minimum of 5 sets of 300 cycles (1,500 cycles total)
- Please state bag material type, thickness/weight/gauge, and dimensions.
- Please state measurements taken and bag damages noted throughout testing.
- Please state any attachments included (insert/liner, caribiner, etc.).
To account for actual deformations experienced during the Dynamic Test, non-cloth bags may be measured empty.
To Confirm Heavy Metal Content:
- Please state test methods used for sample digestion and analysis of each unique bag component following the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation (samples should undergo complete sample matrix digestion/decomposition)
- Testing conducted through lab proprietary methods to determine heavy metal content require that the name and brief description of digestion and analysis methods be included in the reported test results.
Each method description should include the following:
- Specific heavy metal(s) it is valid for
- Specific substrate (bag fabric) materials (ie: plastic, cloth fiber, etc.) it is applicable for
- Error range of test results
- Max/min limits of test results
Test results should also include a statement saying that the proprietary test methods used for sample digestion result in complete sample matrix digestion/decomposition in conformance with the Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation.
To Confirm Thickness of Plastic:
