Household hazardous waste is any leftover product labeled toxic, poison, corrosive, flammable, combustible, or irritant, that you want to discard. Find out more at our Household Hazardous Waste website.

Mobile Collection Events

Do you have old paint, oil, cleaners, televisions, or electronics that you're not sure what to do with? Dispose of these items properly at a FREE Household Hazardous/Electronic Waste (HHW/E-Waste) Collection Event near you - there's one almost every weekend around L.A. County.

Permanent Collection Centers

All residents of Los Angeles County may utilize the City of Los Angeles S.A.F.E. permanent collection centers (various), the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (in Palmdale) or EDCO Recycling and Transfer Center (in Signal Hill) to properly dispose of HHW/E-Waste FREE of charge.

Paint Recycling

California residents and businesses can now recycle leftover paint for free at local retail stores. For program details and locations, visit www.PaintCare.org or call 855-724-6809.
