BEHAVIORS RELATED TO WATER POLLUTION AMONG TARGET AUDIENCES
Looking at residents as a whole, of eleven different behaviors measured, the following eight behaviors show decreases in estimated volume of polluting occurrences.
- Dropping cigarette butts.
- Dropping litter on the ground or out a car window.
- Throwing something in the gutter or down a storm drain.
- Emptying a car ashtray into the street.
- Watering the lawn or garden and letting the water run into the street.
- Washing off paint brushes under an outdoor faucet.
- Walking a dog without picking up the droppings.
- Using too much fertilizer.
