Every Drop Counts!
|
| Thank you, Los Angeles residents, for helping to recycle motor oil. It is a valuable resource that can be used again and again. |
| Just follow these simple steps: |
Store your used motor oil in a sealed, leak-proof container. |
Do not mix oil with gasoline, automotive liquids, other liquids or debris. This contamination makes it hazardous and not recyclable. |
Recycle your non-contaminated used motor oil at a State Certified Used Oil Recycling Center in or near your community during regular business hours. Most centers will take up to 5 gallons at a time. |
Recycle your non-contaminated used motor oil and oil filters at one of the County's Permanent Used Oil Collection Centers. |
|
You may also recycle your non-contaminated used motor oil at a City of L.A. Oil Recycling Event. |
You may dispose of non-contaminated and contaminated used motor oil at one of the County of Los Angeles' free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events or at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center. |
You may also dispose of non-contaminated and contaminated used motor oil at one of the City of Los Angeles' Permanent S.A.F.E Centers. |
You may also want to check with your City for alternative disposal outlets. Residents of Baldwin Park, Glendale, Lawndale, Long Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Santa Clarita, and Santa Monica can also use their city's used motor oil curb-side pick-up service. Contact your City for more information. |
