Nomination for Illegal Dumping Site Clean-up Program for Antelope Valley

The Antelope Valley Illegal Dumping Task Force is dedicated to keeping the Antelope Valley beautiful by attacking illegal dumping head-on with education and specialized programs. One of those is the recently created Desert Cleanup Program sponsored by Waste Management. The Desert Cleanups are solely for public safety and land beautification projects of the open desert and desert trails. Student and community volunteer organizations are welcome to participate in the Desert Cleanup events.

Through this program, the Task Force will select 2 – 4 site clean-up projects annually across the Antelope Valley. Project applications will be evaluated by a Subcommittee of volunteers and presented to the AV Illegal Dumping Task Force for selection.

The Antelope Valley Illegal Dumping Task Force is seeking applications for site nominations as well as applications for volunteer groups seeking to participate in a desert clean up event. Please contact Sandra Pursley at (661) 223-3422 or spursley@wm.com for more information.

The application can be submitted online here or download in pdf format here for faxing or mailing.
