School Garden Program Teach your children or students how to conserve natural resources and preserve the environment by starting a garden at their school with our help. The County will help the kids build raised beds and plant fruits and vegetables. After the garden is built we will provide an interactive worm composting demonstration. The School Garden Program provides an opportunity for students and teachers to work together, learn how to grow their own food, get exercise, and eat healthy. This instills pride in themselves, the community, and the environment. The gardens are an outside classroom where skills in math, science, art, health, physical education, and social studies come together for a fun learning experience.
