Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
Can excessive rain cause low water pressure?

Answer:
Typically water pressure in a public water system does not have any relationship to a rain event.
Sometimes runoff can cause a pipe to become exposed or break. A serious leak on the plumbing between the water meter and your home will cause an evident reduction in your water pressure. An immediate inspection of the water lines on your property is suggested because any running water is potentially causing property damage, also your meter is registering the flowing water and that will result in a very high water bill on top of the expense of repairing the broken plumbing.
