Question:
what are the approved materials for sanitary sewer pipes :
RCP, Clay, plastic ( brand / type ), HDPE ...etc
Are there any available standards & details for these pipes from the current City design plan / manuals?

How to obtain a copy ?

Answer:
County code allows the use of vitrified clay pipe (VCP) or cast iron pipe (CIP) for sanitary sewer line. Other materials will require prior approval from the County. Design standards/guidelines may be acquired from Title 20 of the Los Angeles County Code and from the Private Contract Sanitary Sewer Procedural Manual. These documents may be purchased from the Public Works Cashier's Office. For detail information, please contact the Cashier's Office at 626-458-6959.
