Question: How do I apply for a job? ANSWER: Job Announcements and "Employment Opportunities" are posted in the Personnel office of the Department of Public Works in Alhambra and in various agencies throughout the County. Job Announcements for Open Competitive (OC) opportunities are also posted on the Los Angeles County Department of Human Resources web page. A link to the Los Angeles County Department of Human Resources is provided below. The DPW 24-hour job hotline also lists all Open Competitive and Departmental Promotional opportunities (DP) and can be reached at anytime (626)458-3926.
