Public Works provides dial-a-ride (paratransit) services for eligible residents of the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. Dial-a-ride consists of curb-to-curb, shared ride services available through appointments. Most of these services are for the elderly and persons with disabilities who reside in unincorporated County areas. In some areas, they may be available to the general public. In most areas, Public Works provides these services by contracting with adjacent cities to include unincorporated County areas in the city's paratransit service. We also directly contract with paratransit service providers for service in the East Los Angeles, Walnut Park, Whittier, and Willowbrook areas.
Click on the city or unincorporated community below to obtain information on our paratransit services in that area. Click on the map provided below each area for service boundaries.
Access Paratransit provides Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandated paratransit services for eligible people with disabilities who are unable to use public fixed route transportation systems. Access Paratransit is a shared ride, curb-to-curb service that operates seven days a week, 24 hours of the day in most areas of Los Angeles County.
