Water Audit
This booklet provides students with a deeper understanding of the stormwater urban runoff issues, the impact of pollution and what students can do to make a difference. It presents facts concerning the hydrologic cycle, urban watersheds and run-off problems, and then challenges the student to conduct a watershed audit on campus. The audit asks teens to identify the water flow on campus through researching water origination and drainage patterns. They are challenged to identify any pollutants that may be picked up as a result of the water flow, and to identify trouble areas. They are then asked to begin problem solving using the exercises in the booklet and are asked to consider what they can do on campus.
