Wilshire Boulevard LED Street Lighting Project
The streetlights along Wilshire Boulevard were replaced with Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlights as part of the Wilshire Boulevard Bus Rapid Transit Improvement project between Federal Avenue and Bonsall Avenue in the unincorporated area. The existing street lighting system was built in the 1970's which is a high voltage system. The streetlight system was replaced with a low voltage system making it a safer and more energy efficient system. The system was also retrofitted with LED lamps which will provide enhanced lighting, reduction in energy, and cost savings in operation and maintenance. This project was completed in February 2015.

Layton Vista Area Street Lighting Improvement Project
The Layton Vista Area Street Lighting Improvement project in the unincorporated Altadena was phased into two phases. Phase 1 of the project consisted of upgrading the underground conduit system and was completed in July 2011. Phase two of the project consisted of replacing the old and outdated existing lighting system with new nostalgic and concrete cobra head streetlights and was completed in December 2013. The existing street lighting system was built in the 1930's which is a high voltage system. Most of the existing streetlight poles and luminaires are rusted and in need of major repair. The new streetlight system is designed with a low voltage system making it a safer and more energy efficient system.

Workman Mill Street Lighting Project
The Workman Mill Street Lighting project between Valley Boulevard and San Jose Creek in the unincorporated Bassett area and the City of Industry consisted of replacing the cobra head streetlights on wood and concrete poles with decorative king type streetlights on double mast arms on Washington type poles. The street lighting project was completed in April 2013.

Rosemead Boulevard Improvement Project
The Rosemead Boulevard Improvement project between Foothill Boulevard and the City of Temple City boundary in the unincorporated East San Gabriel area consisted of replacing the streetlights on wood poles with overhead wiring with Mission Bell type luminaires on standard concrete poles. The street lighting project was completed in February 2012.

Washington Boulevard Street Lighting Project
The Washington Boulevard Street Lighting project between Belford Avenue and Craig Avenue in the unincorporated Altadena area consisted of replacing the high pressure sodium lights (HPS) with Light Emitting Diode (LED). The LED lights are more energy efficient and provide improved visibility to the motorists. The street lighting project was completed in May 2011.

The Whittier Boulevard Project Revitalization project between Atlantic Boulevard to the Long Beach Freeway in the unincorporated East Los Angeles area consisted of replacing the cobra head streetlights on concrete poles with decorative king type streetlights on double mast arms on Washington type poles. The street lighting project was completed in September 2011.

Cesar Chavez Street Lighting Project
The Cesar Chavez Street Lighting project between Ford Boulevard and Mednick Avenue in the unincorporated East Los Angeles area consisted of replacing the cobra head streetlights on concrete poles with decorative king type streetlights on double mast arms on Washington type poles. The street lighting project was completed in August 2008.
