How do I register my LSBE with Los Angeles County and do business with Public Works?

In order to be considered a small business with the County, a business must meet the following requirements:

An independently owned and operated business that is not dominant in its field of operation

Have its main office in Los Angeles County for at least the last 12 months
3
A business with 100 or fewer employees, based on the company's Quarterly Wage and Withholding Report or a manufacturer with 100 or fewer employees
4
Having average annual gross receipts of $15 million or less, over the last three tax years
5
Have owners (officers in the case of a corporation) who live in California

Step 1
Become certified as a LSBE with the State of California Department of General Services
OR as a small business enterprise with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro)
