Roadmap Update

Los Angeles County is updating the Roadmap to a Sustainable Waste Management Future. The updated document, which will become the Los Angeles County Zero Waste Plan, establishes a framework with an enhanced focus on initiatives to maximize source reduction and recovery of materials/energy, decrease reliance on landfills, and reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions causing climate change. Public Works is seeking Board approval for the anticipated Zero Waste Plan in late 2022.

Three virtual community meetings were held in August 2020 to provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about the Roadmap Update and give feedback to consider for the final version.
