Los Angeles County Supervisors Michael D. Antonovich and Zev Yaroslavsky in partnership with Republic Services, Inc. present this event to assist residents in effectively disposing of their household discards. Residents in the unincorporated areas of the western portion of Sunland (including Kagel Canyon, Lopez Canyon, and Little Tujunga Road), Oat Mountain/Twin Lakes, Lake Manor, West Chatsworth, and Westhills, can take up to one ton of trash, including furniture, appliances, and other bulky items as well as mud debris, free of charge, to Sunshine Canyon Landfill on April 21, 2012.
