Bicycle Master Plan
The County of Los Angeles is pleased to announce the adoption of the 2012 Bicycle Master Plan by the Board of Supervisors on March 13, 2012. The 2012 Bicycle Master Plan, which replaces the 1975 Plan of Bikeways, is a sub-element of the Transportation Element of the County's General Plan. The 2012 Bicycle Master Plan proposes approximately 831 miles of new bikeways throughout the County. Along with the proposed bikeways, the Plan recommends various bicycle-friendly policies and programs to promote bicycle ridership amongst users of all ages and skill sets within the County.
