Public Works will receive sealed bids for furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment required to complete construction for Job Order Contracts 2101 through 2105 (5 JOC Contracts); bidders will offer four pricing Adjustment Factors to be applied to the Prepriced Tasks in the Unit Price Book. Factor A will be for OSHPD Construction projects to be performed during Normal Working Hours, Factor B for OSHPD Construction projects to be performed during Other Than Normal Working Hours (overtime/non-standard shifts). Factor C will be for General Construction projects to be performed during Normal Working Hours, Factor D for General Construction projects to be performed during Other Than Normal Working Hours (overtime/non-standard shifts) Adjustment Factors shall apply to every Task in the Unit Price Book.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works is inviting Design-Build proposals from interested firms to perform the design, construction, and warranty maintenance for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Program located at 1000 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA 90509.
A mandatory pre-submittal conference to answer questions concerning the project will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 9 a.m., via Microsoft Teams. Prime proposers must attend. For a prime proposer consisting of a joint venture, the attendance of one of the joint venture partners will suffice. Subconsultants are not required to attend. Proposers are required to RSVP to the pre-submittal conference via e-mail to eqchang@dpw.lacounty.gov, by providing attendee name, associated email address, and whether he/she represents prime proposer or a subconsultant, by February 16, 2021. Due to a space limitation with the Microsoft Teams platform, priority will be given to prime proposers first. The County of Los Angeles Public Works requests bid submissions as described in the solicitation for the Peter Pitchess Detention Center Class III Landfill Closure Project the following work, but not limited to:
* Excavation, processing, and relocation of soils to construct an engineered landfill closure cover. The cover received jurisdictional approvals from the California Department of Recycling and Resources Recovery, the California Water Resources Control Board, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
* The cover will achieve a minimum depth of three (3) feet, and is designed with drainage contours infrastructure for proper drainage to reduce the possibility of sub-surface hydro-infiltration;
* Construction of drainage and erosion control swales, channels, systems, etc.;
* Construction of erosion-control terraces at borrow areas.
* Improvements to existing groundwater monitoring wells;
* Installation of a gas-probe monitoring network;
* Installation of an access road;
* Installation and establishment of vegetative cover;
* Coordination with landfill engineer to prepare record documents, landfill closure report, etc.
Bidders interested in attending the mandatory job walk must provide a scanned color copy of his/her valid driver's license by 2/8/21. If a scheduled designated attendee is replaced, a scanned color copy of his/her valid driver's license must be submitted to Public Works with sufficient time for LASD to conduct a wants/warrants check prior to mandatory job walk date.
