L.A. County CT Demonstration Project receives major grant funding from CEC

The Los Angeles County-endorsed anaerobic digestion project currently being developed by CR&R Incorporated and Arrow Bio recently received $4.5 million in grant funding from the California Energy Commission. Five projects have been selected by the California Energy Commission for a $26 million boost in funding to produce biomethane for use as a transportation fuel. Click here to read more.

Request for Qualifications (RFQ)- County of Sacramento

The County of Sacramento has released a Request for Qualifications for Public Private Partnership for energy conversion projects at the County's South Area Transfer Station. The deadline to submit Statement of Qualifications is Friday, March 25, 2011.

Oneida tribe's alternative energy plant approved by Green Bay City Council

Green Bay City Council has approved for a gasification plant that will process 150 tons of household trash daily and generate 5 megawatts of energy, it will also create up to 30 jobs. Click here to read more.

Atlantic County Utilities Authority helping to develop technology that captures gas from heating trash

Proposals for resource recovery plant in Aberdeenshire, UK to go on display

Developers for a proposed resource recovery plant is asking for public input on four design plans before the final blue print is done. The facilities technology will be composed of a mechanical biological treatment works and a gasification system for recovering energy from waste after recyclable material has been removed. About 200 jobs will be created during the construction phase and 35 when the site is operational.Click here to read more.

120,000 ton Waste to Energy Gasification Facility Planned in Eastern Idaho

The Eastern Idaho Regional Solid Waste District (EIRSWD) Dynamis Energy have signed a contract for a Waste to Energy plant based on the company's Dynamis 3.0 Advanced Thermal Gasification Technology. According to the company, the Dynamis 3.0 technology utilizes a controlled air gasification process, which allows for a thermal conversion of waste products into a combustible gas.
