Taylor Yard is a former railroad facility located adjacent to the
Los Angeles River in Cypress Park. Parcels of Taylor Yard have
been redeveloped into light industrial uses while other parcels
have remained as Metrolink switching yards. However, 63 acres of
Taylor Yard immediately adjacent to the River still remain undeveloped.
Currently, the California Coastal Conservancy is preparing a feasibility
study to determine the best use of the remaining undeveloped parcel of
Taylor Yard into a multi-use facility with flood storage, wetland
development, habitat restoration and passive recreational use.
