The Arroyo Seco Bikeway runs in the invert of the Arroyo Seco channel
as a raised bike trail. The existing trail is located between Arroyo
Seco Park in South Pasadena to Avenue 52 in Mount Washington. Public
Works is currently in the process of designing a Class 1 bikeway that
will connect the downstream terminus of the existing bikeway at Avenue
52 to San Fernando Road, just upstream of the Los Angeles River.
In addition, Public Works and a multi-agency Advisory Committee are
completing a study for connecting the proposed Arroyo Seco bikeway
extension with the Los Angeles River bike trail extension. Future
connections between these two bikeways will provide users with
increased opportunities for accessing several community parks and
other amenities within surrounding neighborhoods.
