Floodplain Management Plan Steering Committee

Advisory committee to the County formed with Stakeholders

The Floodplain Management Plan Steering Committee is made up of government representatives and community (non-governmental) members , each of which were stakeholders in the 2025 Comprehensive Floodplain Management Plan update.

The Steering Committee met virtually about every month. Meetings were open to the public. Community members who wished to provide comments at these meetings were welcome to do so during the public comment period.

The 2025 Comprehensive Floodplain Management Plan was adopted by the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors in March 2026. The Steering Committee will now meet annually to approve the County’s Annual Floodplain Management Plan Progress Reports. These annual meetings are anticipated to occur in the springs of 2027 through 2029, and be in a virtual setting.

Meeting dates, times, agendas, and minutes of the meetings are available on our Meetings page .
