About Parks and Recreation

The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation is a county agency that operates, provides programming and manages a vast network of parks, recreational facilities and cultural venues throughout the county. As part of the County Land Development and Subdivision process, Parks and Recreation utilizes EPIC-LA to assess and collect park in-lieu fees for projects in unincorporated Los Angeles County. Additionally, Parks and Recreation utilizes EPIC-LA to manage various permit applications and processes, such as Right of Entry Permits and School Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) related to county park facilities.
