Elmer Avenue Paseo
The Elmer Avenue Paseo Project is an effort led by the Council for Watershed Health to clean stormwater runoff, recharge the groundwater aquifer, and provide neighborhood connections. The project site, which was once a blighted alleyway, now contains a bioswale to capture and infiltrate stormwater runoff from a 20-acre upstream area. The project also includes a new walking path to create connectivity between communities. The placement of artwork at the Paseo was a community project which included student participants from Sun Valley Middle School along with other community members.
