Pavement Design

The Materials Analysis Unit of GMED determines the required structural section of roadways in new subdivisions. The structural section design is based on site specific soil testing. Our staff performs the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) testing and the design of the roadway structural section. A deposit of $12,000 is required to initiate this service. Alternatively, the developer's consultant may provide this test and design which must be submitted to GMED for review and approval. A deposit of $5,000 is required for this review service.
