Ramp/Apron Pavement Rehabilitation - FAA Grant Amount $450,000
(Design only grant)

Public Works engaged a consulting firm in November 2012 for the design phase of the rehabilitation of the south, midfield and north ramp/apron areas on the airport -- a total paved area of approximately 2,098,800 square feet. Work will be consistent with Public Work's formal Airport Pavement Maintenance Program (PMP) for the County-owned airports which will include priority ratings for repair or replacement of various airport pavements depending on Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Construction is anticipated to include in-place pulverization of asphalt concrete, soil stabilization, grading and drainage, compaction, asphalt overlay, tie down areas, and striping of the entire paved apron areas. Construction is anticipated to begin between March and May 2014. Public Works may be soliciting Requests for Proposals for the construction phase of the project in early 2014.
